I would take the Corp Dev offer because I hate consulting.
If you like consulting and think you want to make a long term career of it, then take MBB.
Chief
65% is a life changing jump. I’d take that because I don’t plan on staying in consulting more than a few years. MBB name on the resume is great but it would only get you that 65% after a 2 year exit. If you like consulting pick MBB due to total earning potential.
Latter. I heard from many mbb friends that exits are NOT as easy as people thought and there aren’t that many corp dev roles in the market, let alone 65% raise

You’re considering passing on a 65% pay bump? Why?
Rising Star
65% pay bump is a huge chunk of money no matter where you are in your career. Make 100k? Now you make 165k. Make 200k? Now you make 340k.
Unless there’s something really really amazing, like unicorn pre IPO, I’d get out of these ASAP
Take the pay bump. If you decide you want to come back to consulting in a couple years it’s not like the experience in corp dev for a PortCo will hurt you.
It’s very likely if you go to MBB you’ll exit in two years to something similar to the corp dev role.
Latter
Latter. Also opens up doors to PE Ops later.
I see a much common path of going from consulting to pe ops directly though
My main concern is value of MBB name on long term career plans. Many CEOs, top investors have MBB on their CV - way more than my T2

Spot on A1. Most (by far) CXOs have not worked at MBB but instead have many years of operational experience
I’d take the latter unless you plan to stay in consulting
