Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Take a break in between if you can afford to. Talk to them about a start date that allows for 2 to 4 weeks to yourself after giving notice, then fill those weeks with completely left-field stuff that shakes up your insides and makes you feel alive. Sleep, new hobby, old friends, exhausting hikes. That kind of thing.
I just had some time off work, so I didn’t feel like I needed the break. Just took a couple of days. I would normally take longer, though.
Just going through this now. Almost 3 months in and I’m happy I made it through but I did struggle mentally to get here.
If the place you’re at now was the source of the burnout there’s no saying it won’t happened again just without the salary bump.
Just resigning and coasting those 2 weeks helps. Then take time off.
Omg I’ve been trying to coast my last two weeks but no go - their squeezing everything out of me!
Take a week off between jobs.
I just took a couple of days as I had some time off work recently already.

I always try to get a two week break between jobs. It's usually the only time I can have a real break and lets me floss out the old job.
Just spent a week in Aruba before starting a new job 🌅⛱️😎
