Recently unemployed from big law firm..currently looking for another job and basically sending my resume out on indeed. Submitted my resume for a litigation paralegal In NYC to what I now know is a small firm but I didn’t realize the pay range until after I scheduled thr interview. It’s way under my normal ask and even under my lowest of what I would take. Should I just cancel?

I have HR scheduled for Northern Trust Organization for Sr. Associate role tomorrow. CCTC -18. 50 LPA YOE-6 Tech Stack - Reactjs. What CTC I should ask in HR round? How much NTC will give?

I know EY early promotes had their comp discussions and was curious what other big 4’s are seeing in terms of raises this year due to covid

Have cleared HCL interview. Initially they offered 23 lpa (via proposed offer letter, to be approved by L4), but i requested to reconsider it for 25 lpa. After 5 days, they sent final offer letter of 19 lpa (stating they can offer max 50% as per L4 approval).

I got a job offer as a Tax Associate at PwC. I want to negotiate the salary but the HR said he cant just increase my salary since that would be unfair to other associates. Can I export a list with all emails I sent for the month? I would like to use it to compare to my billed time to make sure I don’t miss anything. Usually I go through my sent inbox but it has so much extra info so it’s not a quick scan. Plus outlook does weird things sometimes like combines conversations so I only see most recent sent item in that convo. What to do when you’re feeling overwhelmed but still need to bill and meet deadlines?

Anyone else get frustrated when the partner brags about their billable hour amount for the month? Like congrats, you get to bill .2 for each piece of mail. You also get .2 for every letter your secretary types up as a "form letter" you never even look at. As an Associate, I don't get those easy/automatic hours.

Anyone work for a private firm but also work as appearance counsel for Docketly? Looking to use Docketly as a tool for marketing, growing my own book of business, and increase hours but not sure how to navigate the logistics of it. For example, conflicts, payment, etc. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Any tips on leaving a firm “correctly”? Was about to go “of counsel” with my firm of 6 years, but then another firm whose partners I really respect (and personally like) offered me a partnership position. I predict my current bosses will *flip* (cut off file access immediately, try to beat me to calling my clients, etc.), so how do I set myself up for a successful transition?

I work in a midsize firm and we have the basic subscription to westlaw, which doesn’t include the ability to see filed briefs, motions, etc without incurring additional costs. I’m wondering if there is a service in the NJ/PA area that gives you access to previously filed motions and briefs? So if I’m drafting a summary judgment I could search the service and find a similar one. If this doesn’t exist.. I think I found the next million dollar idea lol
