Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

I’m still excited! Every day is a new adventure. Lots of variety. The day-to-day and getting to know others within the company can affect the luster of the shiny new position. Make it your own and go show them you’re the perfect person for the job until you decide if this is a great fit.
I was so happy with my job for more than a decade. Great company, great benefits and pay, great people, leadership wasn't terrible and there was open and honest communication between managers and staff. Then they brought in new leadership and everything has tanked. People are fleeing the company so fast that leadership can't fill all the open roles and support quality is gone. The new leadership has demoted people and put them in roles they are overqualified for, cut pay for most of the staff (if you didn't accept the new pay/role, you were "choosing to self-terminate," chosen inexperienced mid level leaders, have created an environment of distrust and shady communication practices, and won't give us the resources to do the requests we get in our daily roles. They ask for opinions and suggestions and at the same time slap your hand down and tell you to be quiet: it's not your place to provide solutions to problems (WTF?!?). Anyone who tries to give them feedback is branded as difficult, having a bad attitude, and not open to change. It simply comes down to leadership. Loved my job before, couldn't wait to log on every day and work. Now I cry almost every day due to some condescending BS or getting yelled at by a partner because I don't have the resources necessary to help them like before the changeover. It's incredible what just a few months of bad leadership can do to morale and how you feel about your job.

So sad you're having to go through this. I hope it gets better soon 🫂
Ohhhh I definitely was. I could not wait to start my first job and was just so bright eyed and bushy tailed and now I am burned out and exhausting. I don't even love my job anymore.
