I’m doing an MBA and was a qualified actuary in banking retail credit risk/tiny bit of market risk for 4 years. I have a BSc in maths and have MBA internship experience in top tier consulting firm and now doing an activist investor internship. What is my chance of getting into a hedge fund in London and what kind of roles can I go for? Do I have a chance of getting into a quant role, or private credit? Can I do top tier consulting firm for a few years and move to private credit later?

Is it worth it to do post-graduate work in design? Does anyone here have an advanced degree?

What are some resources (paid or otherwise) that will make me a better banker? Wall street prep's course was great, anything else that would help me ramp up as a nontraditional background, lateral recent hire?

Hi Fishes, I've 2.25 Years of experience in SAP Basis, but I've lost interest in the same due to not receiving proper training, inability to practice on customer's system and shifts. I'm looking forward to go for MBA/changing technology, which one would be a better option? I came to US on an L1b in 2018 and switched to H1b in 2021 Oct. Current 797/visa expiry is stated as July 2023, by which I would have spent 1.5 years on H1b visa (and 3.5 years on L1b before that). During h1b extension , will I get another 4.5 years of extension? How does extension work when u switch visas?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified?
