He chucks these losses to ‘challenges of doing business in Africa’ and is upset that I have refused to fund him any more. I send monthly upkeep and take care of huge expenses. Would like some thoughts on a 2-br NYC condo my husband and I are considering. $250K HHI (no kids). No loans or debts, both have newish cars fully paid off.

Offer would be for $725K, with 10 percent down. 30yr mortgage @5%. We would need to include closing costs in the mortgage, to keep about $10k liquid. Monthly costs will be about $5k.

1- refund ALL of it even taxes Withheld ?
2- refund only the amount that was deposited in your account
3- mix between 1 and 2 refund more than was deposited but less than the whole amount ( taxes should be refunded to me next year)
