I know how you feel I grew up in Boston and it’s become ridiculously expensive to live here. You literally have to make at least $150k a year without kids to make and hopefully don’t have a lot of debt. I would ask for a raise also see about getting a higher position even if u have take a class but I would definitely look for another job especially if your current job isn’t making you happy or money. Get a side gig if your time allows I know it sucks but find something you like to do that can make you money also. Just have a solid plan in place first before leaving. Like a job with good benefits and health insurance. It’s hard out here unfortunately but I wish you all the best!
I would start your own mobile lab gig.
You could always apply to a remote position online with United healthcare for a patient advocate or customer service advocate. It’s purely remote. They train you for several months and you start at around 25 something an hour if I remember correctly.
Do whatever floats your boat
None what so ever
Do DoorDash on the side, that’s what I do and surprisingly, it DOES help! It’s easy to sign up and use, all you need is a car, a phone, and a face!
No do what you have to do
What you're doing sounds way more stable position wise(hopefully) than some random taco shop. i wouldn't risk job hopping.
Try legal. Executive, senior assistant
A friend of mine left her job as a patient advocate nurse to go work as a hostess at a high end restaurant. She works fewer hours, what makes a lot more money, and is treated much better.
