Don’t disclose until after offer is accepted and you have started. DO NOT. They have to honor your medical documentation.
While true, you still run the risk of retaliation whether that is firing or other mean. Everyone can say that’s illegal, but in corporate world they won’t say it’s because of the medical accommodation but rather some other ridiculous reason.
timing for submitting the request without risking the offer being pulled. I’m also trying to understand how companies typically evaluate remote‑work accommodations when the role is already remote almost everywhere else.
Might need to ask a labor expert or attorney for advice.
Please be forthcoming with this info prior to accepting the position. This is in your, as well as their best interest. To wait and disclose this after the fact, when you already know the expectation, sets a precedent that you are not completely honest. As an employer, I would feel mmanipulated.
I would confirm that they are willing to accommodate your request before taking the job.
