Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?
Hi everyone!
Debating between an offer from 200 employee company vs Zoom (the company).
The smaller company has good benefits, great wlb and a great culture per Glassdoor reviews. But its an HR software and not easy to sell.
Compensation is similar.
Never worked in a big company like zoom before, what are the pros, and the drawbacks?

Looking for a new challenge. Interested in a referral into Salesforce. I’m currently a top performing senior Field Sales Executive selling new business subscription and SaaS into the corporate tech vertical. I live in the DMV area. Hit me up if you’d be willing to help with a referral at Salesforce. Thanks!!

Depends on size of company. Small companies i've worked for have used Pipedrive and it was ok. But I think Hubspot and Salesforce are both my favourite for more complex sales, or larger groups.
Look Synergy, it’s more than just a CRM, all departments get involved and accountable in the sales cycle. Great document manager and most important process driven
I took a long time trying to find a CRM I could use for small business, and at first I tried BIGIN, which was a nightmare, and the customer service was non-existent. Then with the help of ChatGPT I found LACRM which is "Less Annoying CRM," and so far they are excellent. Customer service is fantastic, and it's built for small businesses, and is highly customizable. Apparently my needs are not the usual, but they have customized it to suit my workflow, and there is always someone there to help, even on weekends.

Having service support is a needed when working with a CRM . Even with top CRM tools ive utilized there still needs for it to merge with your software and work correctly. I neverheard of that crm and will look into it as I was asking to scope for crms that worked for a smaller business scale
I don't know why either, but again, it only lets me either 'like' or 'share' on your comments...but regardless...sure, there's value in a company-wide CRM, but my bringing that up was more to the contrary -- I've had the pleasure of handling datasets that exceed the maximum number of rows allowed in an excel file...know how to open those? through Access lol...anyways, the only way I've found to truly clean up and merge duplicate accounts while retaining the notes and status of both records is to have a full visualization of all items logged into the CRM under "John's Boat Supplies Inc.", "Johns Boat Supplies". "John's Boat Supplies Incorporated" and "John's Boat Supplies" -- all of which use the same domain 'johnsboatsupplies.com'. (Just an example) If this company has multiple locations across the country, and Jim from xyz Software is working with a regional VP, and maybe wasn't thinking to look for the company in the CRM, just decides to enter the company info, assuming that the VP's Miami, FL office is the corporate HQ...but then Sherry was already in discussions with the Director of National Production at the real corporate HQ in Houston, TX.
As the company grows, and more sales execs are added to the roster, I've seen this first-hand blow up and nearly cause a head-on-collision with a freight train. One particular case was a company I helped grow from 2 reps to 7 reps, and they ended up landing on Inc.'s 5000 fastest growing companies by the end of our partnership...The fastest and most accurate way to get the data under control is to export everything, don't let anyone touch the CRM for a couple hours or so, use excel or even Access if necessary to sort the list by domain and again by company name, find duplicates, choose a single company name for the account, and then ensure the domain name is uniform as well without variations (e.g. johns boatsupplies.com, johnsboatsupplies.us, johnsboatsupplies.mail, etc.) then reupload the data exactly how it was exported, save the updates and you're in a better spot moving forward.
For the purpose of this initial comment on the post though, you're 100% right...its like taking your data with you wherever you go -- in fact, its also great in the event of a layoff or career move...if its data you've curated, and you haven't signed any agreement to forfeit any data developed while working under the company's brand, you can not only take the data with you (relationships you've nurtured along your journey) but you can also use them as a liquid asset that would increase your value and desirability to potential new employers as an 'added value bonus' to them selecting you over Billy, Bob, and Benny who have to start from scratch...
I am currently using a CRM from Lead Source Software Inc. They are a small company out of Halifax, Nova Scotia

👍👍👍
I haven't used Monday, but I've heard good things from those who do.
Depending on your use case, Salesforce is either going to be awesome or complete overkill.
Hubspot is great, easy to use, doesn't require a lot of handholding.
Used Dynamics once, hated every minute of it.
We use dynamics and it's a nightmare. Ugh!

My favourite was called CRM. I didn't realise there were others.

It was connected to SAP & worked seemlesly together, i thought they were 1 program when i started.
Depends on what you are looking to do with it (analytics, pipeline, etc), type of sales, size of company/team, and of course, budget. For instance, Salesforce has the ability to customize and is useful for complex sales but I would not classify it easy to use, especially for a beginner. However, I have always found their support team to be very helpful.
Hubspot and Monday are more user friendly. My experience with Monday is that novice CRM users can catch on quickly and they appreciate the visual workflows it produces. I found Hubspot better for marketing.

Thanks for the link much appreciated 👏
I would recommend Microsoft Dynamics for your CRM system.

Will definitely look into it
Salesforce is the Rolls-Royce of the CRM's and of course very $$$$...Depending on company size and what your needs are the others to consider would be ZOHO & CLOSE...
Good luck...🙏
Agree- Salesforce is robust but for a smaller company not needed- My favorite of all has been ZOHO-
It all depends. Are you managing your people ie:tracking or is it a true relations management system you are looking for. Hubspot is junk. It is cumbersome and difficult to learn. Salesforce is not much better however is easy to navigate as there are multiple ways to do everything. Also the data is better filtered and controlled by Salesforce. That having been said they do nothing to improve relationships and are just tracking systems. Build your own.
