If you actually got a job offer wouldn't they include comp details as part of the offer...?
Very suspect
Focus on getting a good Salary. I learned that in banking. Commissions can be changed at anytime so you don't have control. Go to Glass Door and look up salaries for banker positions and apply for a Bank that seems to give higher salaries.
Worked for Key Bank for many years. Great Company.
They need to put everything in writing before you sign anything.
Why would you sign especially if you are not aware of the real offer.
Doesn’t sound right.
Incentive structure here has changed 3 or 4 times this year. It's hard to get a good grasp on what's typical with this current structure, as it's new this quarter.
That being said, this quarter looks like it won't be much worse for me. I usually make $2800-$4200 per quarter. Some bankers make less than $1000 per quarter, but some I know break $6000.
I have no experience at other banks so I don't know if this is good or not, but I hope it's helpful.
On top of what base?
JPMChase have the best incentive. They
are also an oustanding company to work for.
JPM chase has the best banker Comp plan but also the lowest base salary by a fair amount
Used to work at Key, their comission structure is no where near C. They pay quarterly not monthly, its not even half of what you are used to getting. Their goals are unrealistic and most of their branches are understaffed. Personal Bankers do teller work as well.
Typically they’re being vague because it’s going to change from year to year, I would focus on the salary/hourly. Glass door is definitely a good resource.
