I’m making a career pivot and I just had an interview where I was called a strong candidate. Only to be told 5 mins later I won’t be considered for the role due to not meeting a work in a health office requirement. In my opinion I felt I made up for that through my other roles as a volunteer at a hospital and working in an office setting. Granted I wasn’t feeling to hot about the interview going in and I felt I whiffed it halfway through but it was a strange thing to do imo.
