I’m near the sunset of my career but I think there are going to be layoffs in my area. What’s the best way to position myself to get a job but not make it obvious that I’ll probably retire in the next 5 years.

Recently received an offer for Staff Software Test Engineer for Austin. YOE :11 yrs 150K, 10-20% bonus and 15K sign on and no rsu. Can someone tell me if this is a good offer?

With the new LCA wage increase or whatever, only FAANGs would remain in US? 🧐

Do you have advice on how to interview better with Amazon?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. I have been invited for a new interview today with another team, and I am hoping 4th time is the charm. Any tips on how to do better next time?

1.Interviewer didn't ask any technical questions. I had only one interview.
2. Evening itself I got call that i was selected and ready to discuss salary.
3. Last year it was under IT raid because of pro particular political party
