I'll start with don't actually feel like you need to order a drink. If you don't drink don't feel pressured to. However if you like cranberry juice a vodka cran is pretty safe. Any vodka or light rum is going to taste pretty similar to whatever you're drinking it in.

I’ve never heard if a vodka cran. I love cranberry will definitely give this a shot.
Another vote for "don't order alcohol if you don't want to" but I order fruity stuff like blended margaritas, daiquiris, and Pina coladas are a go to.
If you want to be taken seriously and want something a little more sophisticated and you like coke you can do a rum and coke, but a vanilla vodka coke would be even better tasting.
Don’t drink if you don’t want to. Or order a club soda and lime
Corona has one. Tastes exactly like a regular corona.
Brooklyn brewery Special Effects is really good. Lagunitas has one, and Athletic Brewing company has a lot of different options
Wine spritzers may be a good choice if you like wine. The wine is mixed with tonic water.

Any suggestions for wine spritzers?
Rum and coke

Ohhhh my second favorite.
Just order an “Aperol Spritz”! You’ll love it.
Get a fruity vodka drink. You could ask for a glass of seltzer separately and dilute it as you drink?
Or just ask the bartender for an alcohol free cocktail. They’ll help you out.
You could always do a cocktail or margarita. The fruit flavors might help you out. You could always get it virgin if you just want the fruits but the look of drinking.

Definitely agree. I feel like there’s a lot of social pressure for fruity cocktails being feminine but a good drink is a good drink.
In my city, many bars carry non-alcoholic beer or wine. Bars in my city with a cocktail menu often carry mocktails or spirit free cocktails (using teas, juices and tonics to make a drink without alcohol). These may be great options for you.
If you’re open to or interested in alcohol, you want to ask the bartender for a light or refreshing cocktail. An old fashion is a spirit forward cocktail, meaning the alcohol is the more prominent flavor and ingredient, which is probably why you didn’t enjoy that drink. Find a cocktail bar nearby and do a test run with a friend on a slow night where you can spend some time speaking with the bartender to help you find a go-to light drink to order when you’re out with colleagues.
If you like sparkling water or juice, hard seltzers are also pretty easy drinking and may be something you’d enjoy.
Good luck, and cheers! 🥂

Thanks for all the suggestions, will definitely try out some of these next time I go out!

As mentioned in earlier comments don’t feel pressured. Just enjoy the moment
I would suggest a Moscow mule or mojito (if they have mint)
Some one is getting a cosmo
Mojito - Refreshing and minty, with rum, lime juice, mint, sugar, and soda water.
Piña Colada - Sweet and creamy, made with rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice.
Sex on the Beach - Fruity and tropical, typically made with vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, and orange juice.
Moscow Mule - Crisp and tangy, made with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice.
White Russian - Creamy and smooth, with vodka, coffee liqueur, and cream.
Amaretto Sour - Sweet and tangy, made with amaretto liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup
Strawberry Daiquiri - Sweet and fruity, made with rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and strawberries.
Mai Tai - Tropical and fruity, typically made with rum, lime juice, orgeat syrup, and orange liqueur.
Bellini - Light and fruity, made with Prosecco and peach purée.
Margarita - Tangy and refreshing, made with tequila, lime juice, and triple sec.

Add a amaredo sour in the mix. Can always ask for more lemon juice. For me that makes it taste more like a lemonade
I get a vodka soda with lemon. Light and I never regret it the next day 🙂

My first drink I ever liked was a strawberry soju. Pairs perfectly with bbq
I unabashedly order water with lime, or unsweetened iced tea, no lemon or lime, if I don’t feel like drinking. I owe nobody an explanation. If I do drink - a good beer. Maybe a good sipping single malt scotch with a touch of water, or a gin & tonic.
