I’m an associate at a boutique firm making under market with 1950 hours req. While I absolutely love the people I work with, and I can handle the hour requirement, the work I actually do is just not my cup of tea (abt 80% insurance defense). I’m hoping to lateral to a bigger firm with lockstep or close to lockstep comp and generally more resources/better mentorship opportunities in the business lit./commercial lit. space.
