I’m starting therapy again next week (I did it for a few months in 2020 due to some postpartum depression) and I’m weirdly very excited to dive back in under “normal circumstances”. Mainly focusing on handling day to day work stress and not letting it weigh me down in other areas. Would love some tips on how to personally prepare for those first couple of sessions. Yes! I would not be where I am today without it… the good weeks, the bad weeks, it’s been such a helpful part of my routine. I usually make a list of things I want to talk though/focus on before my session, and then take notes while I’m in session of things I need to do, even if it’s just simple things like “write what I’m grateful for, take a bath”. I bought a journal to help me stay grounded and write down things I’m processing or wish to improve, but I find I use my notes app the most just because it’s the most accessible. That’s my two cents!

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.
