100% do not like open concept. It's awful with adhd too. The reason we have it in our homes is so we can feel included and connect with one another socially. Offices need to be productive and social outings can be designated. Meetings will have more impact because they will carry more value…
The basic idea is quite old - originally every worker was supposed to have plenty of space, with buffers to block noise.
Of course, companies immediately started messing with the concept and crammed people together to save money on space 😑
Would you rather work in a cubicle. I thought working in a place like a conference room would be great because everyone can hear you. And you have move more space to move around to get your thoughts.
Being in cubicles is great for people with ADHD, but a lot of people feel closed in. There should be situations where it can be. Either part of the company has cubicles part of it is open concept to appeal to everyone.
