I’m stuck between two roles right now. One is finance-adjacent, super chill, low stress, but probably a career plateau. The other is a high-growth startup with tons of potential. One job protects my mental health today, the other could set me up long-term. Has anyone navigated this kind of tradeoff successfully? How do you decide when to chase peace versus future payoff?

Mental Health, inherited or choice? I am finding myself struggling with processing that ADD, Depression, or Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain vs. behavioral therapy. The best analogy given to me is you would treat diabetics with insulin so why not consider prescriptions to help mental health. 2020 has thrown more at me than I’m able to handle. Has anyone here noticed a significant improvement after a prescription to help psych issues?

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.
