I’m trying to move to Vancouver at the moment on a Working Holiday visa, but I’m getting instantly rejected after the CV & cover letter review on every application (that I definitely would have been qualified for). Is it likely to be down to the fact that I’ve stated I currently live in the UK and will be moving on a Working Holiday visa in my cover letter? Or am I being naive and actually it’s likely that my CV & cover letter are rubbish? Any advice massively appreciated, this is killing me!!

I, a childless woman who does not plan to have kids, am jealous of the parental leave parents get to take from work from choosing to have a child (a big life event). I 100% understand that they are working in a different way by taking care of the baby and being deliriously worn out in the process, but it makes me sort of jealous that unless I have a kid there is no life event that I can take ~3 months away from work to focus on and enjoy, plus have my hours prorated and a job to come back to.

First I’d a manager-level BD role for a startup (but public) company im really excited/energized by. 150k base with 15% bonus and equity.
