Hi,
What role I can expect for 6.8yoe developer??
Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC bangalore rescinding an offer given the current market condition? The role in my offer letter seems to be pretty generic and during interviews, it didn't look like, they were interviewing for a particular project or team. I have doubts specifically because of HR's behaviour during the whole recruitment process where they never responded to my emails or calls. Is this normal practice?
I am leaving JP Morgan next month and have resigned before completing of my 1 year with the firm but technically my year will be completed next month before notice period. The laptop allowance and the relocation allowances will it be recovered from me during my exit??

Some companies are using AI as the first level of screening. What you might try is reading the job description and tailoring your resume to match the verbiage in the Job Requirements as posted. Meaning: If you have the skills that are required as mentioned in the Job Posting, make sure your resume lists those skills using the same verbiage as you see in the Job Requirements.. There are usually Key words AI is set up to look for.
Which is funny and ironic, because by using AI to look for candidates, recruiters are inadvertently turning themselves redundant by teaching the machine how to do their job :D
Yes a lot of places are using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and AI resume screening tools for applications now to look for specific things in peoples resumes. But you can actually use AI’s like ChatGPT to help you get around this though or at least increase your chances of it choosing your resume to get through to an actual person.
Go to the AI you like best and ask it to help you make an AI-optimized resume, tell it the exact job title and employer (if you have one) or the type of job you’re applying for. Then share the job description or posting text (or just paste the important requirements/qualifications). If you have one already, provide your current resume (or if not then provide, at least, your experience, education, certifications, and skills in plain text). Finally, ask it to rewrite or restructure your resume so it:
1) Uses the keywords from the job posting (without keyword stuffing).
2) Matches the skills and qualifications the employer highlights.
3) Is ATS-friendly (simple formatting, no images/tables that confuse scanners).
4) Shows measurable impact (numbers, outcomes, improvements) where possible.
Jobs are the same way where I live right now and I think it’s like that all over the US right now honestly, but this is exactly what I did and on day 1 of my job search using my new AI-Optimized resume built from my original resume I applied to 10 jobs, by day 2 I had received texts, emails and calls from 9 out of the 10 places asking to set up an interview. Some of those texts were automated but with some of those I also received an additional 1-2 texts or emails (one automated and one from an actual recruiter or hr manager/director). All interviews I actually went through with setting up (I couldn’t go to all of them as quickly as they wanted me to) were real and wanted to see me within 1-2 days after I put in the initial application, on the same day as the interviews, I got multiple offers from those and was able to accept a job with one of them. I know how insanely hard it is for everyone to find jobs right now as I struggled for monthsss looking for one before I tried this (a professional resume maker told me what to do). So I’m posting this in no way shape or form to be “bragging” or anything like that, because as I said I also struggled for months and know it’s not easy, but in hoping this can help people secure a job as quickly as possible. It’s rough out here and we all need all the help we can get. I really hope this info helps somebody here out as much as it did me. Because it can’t be a coincidence that for months I had what was happening to you, happening to me, then on the first day of using this new resume to apply I get actual interview requests and job offers after those interviews from 90% of the places… that’s too much of a coincidence for me ignore. I can’t promise it will work for everyone or work that quickly, but it’s definitely worth trying, that’s what I told myself because atp what did I have to lose, right?
You need to network and work with recruiters. Don't apply.
I am of the belief all these site create fake open positions to get people to utilize their site. Going straight to the company websites and looking for openings there is most likely the best move or check out a recruiter who gets paid by the Employer.
NPR had a segment on jobhunting the other day which you might find interesting. Using AI to filter job applicants was discussed. Suggestions to override the program, such as boldly commenting on your excellent qualifications for this specific position, and if you know anyone in the organization mention them is highly effective in getting an interview, and putting your name at the top of the pile...
So true, the Job Market is not what it used to be. Tech mainly a.i is evolving way too fast making the human being become irrelevant.
I have applied for 100's of jobs via LinkedIn and Glassdoor. My conclusion is there's few or no real jobs. Companies seem to be collecting people's resumes and some may reply back that the job was closed or put on hold, not another word. There doesn't seem to be gas-oil jobs, manufacturing jobs, hardly anything through out the entire country.
I think this is happening around the entire United States in every job market, and the employers are changing the format of how they get employees in the process that is used is incredibly intensive with thousands of applicants in some cases for one position. I am not certain if this will ever change and it may continue to get worse in terms of finding a job. I am not trying to be negative, but just I’m thinking this is a harsh reality and it is important to make contacts and network. Being innovative and strategic and how you get a job is also mission critical. I wish everyone hunt her a great success on the road ahead.
One last comment I have is much emphasis will be placed obviously on the economy and interest rates going forward on where the labor pool will be driven.
One of the biggest mysteries to me is how zip recruiter, indeed in the site matches applicants with jobs. I have not heard one success story from any of these sites. If I were it, I would start putting success stories out there to all of us in an effort to know how it works with their site and their perspective on the job market overall in the United States, it would be neat to hear from them. Have a nice day.
We are looking for customer service, claims, and eligibility specialists in TPA field. Do you have any experience in those fields?
I have been diligently seeking employment for 3 months. I come with 40 years experience. I have been interviewing in person, Zoom calls and phone interviews. Nothing. The longest it’s ever taken me to become hired was 4 days. I have no idea what the problem is. I am 59.5yo and maybe it’s my age? I’m a big “God has a plan” person lol I wish He’d hurry up a bit. Money is almost gone, yet bills keep coming in. Good luck! Keep searching.
I had been looking for work since May. Remote, hybrid in person, part time and full time. I've had maybe 10 interviews and I've applied to hundreds of jobs. I save all the emails.
I've noticed a lot of "recruiters" contacting me only to realize the job is a scam. I've even done interviews with some of these people and had job offers. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is a scam. Luckily I knew better than to give out any personal information other than my name. I usually contact some of the companies hr departments to make them aware.
Some companies get so many applications that they are using AI to weed through them. Those companies might think they're getting the best candidate because they sound good on paper but that's not always the case.
Same here. Applied for 300 jobs since August. I’m qualified for them all. I’ve had six interviews
AI took over a while back. When I post a job, I get 1,000 applications, no-one has time to read them all. Watch carefully for keywords in the job posting and be sure you use them.
I think the biggest thing you can do is get in and apply not long after posting. It is disheartening when you see 100+ applicants. Just gotta keep on it. And try toake your resume is ATS friendly. After I did that, started getting more interviews.
Ditto on using AI. If you haven't, you need to get interested in it. You something like Google Gemini, Co-pilot (Microsoft), Grok (X) has the best privacy.
Download the job description, upload the file to one of the AI apps I mentioned. Upload your resume as well. With practice and a little patience, you work with the AI to analyze both documents, and integrate job description language directly into your resume.
i tried inserting random keywords in my cv like 'hamster' or 'low key, give me a job', did n't really work :)
I feel you. I've applied to so many positions over the last month. Had three phone interviews, but haven't heard back since. :(
Are you tayloring your resumes to fit the each job description You are applying for? That’s something I wasn’t doing and once I started tailoring my experience with the position and following up with other experience I had. I started getting emails calls and interview.
If there is a place that you feel is a perfect fit and you would be THE person for the job, see if you can get an address. If it is close enough to drive to, get ready with a resume and drop it off personally and let them know you dropped it off personally instead of a just clicking a submit my resume button. Just use your best judgement on who to call on.
Whenever I apply for a job ,I follow it up with a phone call. Iask if they received the application and how soon will they be choosing a candidate. Once I have an interview, I follow up again with a phone call . I thank them for the opportunity to work with their organization. I'm very pleasant and polite. I praise their organization.
It’s absolutely insane out there. I was hired for remote work. When I showed up for the onsite training I was told the VP that hired me was gone. The new person mandated everyone must now work onsite. Less than a year later they moved corporate from CT to FL. The last three interviews I had were promising but the decision makers were all let go.
