Hi, I have been approached by GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) for network expertise paid consultation. Wanted to check with this group if anyone has any experience of how is it like working as network expert? Also how does it work wrt to your employer, do you need to discuss this with employer to get any clearance to engage with them? Also how does it work from tax perspective, do you have to set-up separate company and hence tax code? Would appreciate inputs.
Any advice for general radahn

Recent experienced hire here. The "network your way onto project" aspect is frustrating. There's a utilization target. I haven't seen people fired after 1st year but have heard stories of people leaving after ~6 month.
which firm op? utilization is important and year doesnt matter.

Momentum matters. If you are in the bench for a while but there is a large uptick in productivity over time youll be fine
Just interviewed and placed on big internal project - counts as billable. Firm big four. Like the momentum comment - I make my own by finding pursuits and creating offerings. Also - resource Mgr says its their job to get us placed. But know it does count. Apparently bench issue widespread....
