In general how many hours are consultants pulling per year and what does that result in for an hourly rate?

I am interested in taking a new position at my current job - Electrical Engineering and Production Manager, in the Chicagoland area. Whats a good salary for this position? Is there anyone currently in this role - what are some of your duties?

I’m in interviews with a few companies. It was initially to see what was out there to negotiate my pay. Now, I’m seriously considering leaving my current company because of what one of the prospect companies represent: everything I want in a company/role. (Plus they reached out to me) AND they will pay me almost double what I’m currently making annually, put me in a position to advance (so many options!!!!!) and allow me to move/travel when I get ready to.

What should I do? Guidance please!!!

If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income.
