I find it hard to have a collection because I keep drinking it.

likefunny

I just buy stuff that at beyond a certain price point is an investment to me rather than something to drink on a whim but if you don’t have that issue best to keep it offsite and out of reach.

The on-site storage 🙃

I have blackout curtains that are closed during the day - it’s also in a temperature controlled room.

Wine rack is cubes from Pottery Barn, but not sure if they make them anymore.

Stopped by liquor store on my home this evening and called an audible. Concur that the Paso drinks very nicely for ~$35.

Helps that it’s a Wagner family wine. They know approachability

Stunningly, BotaBox OVZ. It's damned good for the price

Think that was me with the Paradigm and glad you grabbed one. I suspect it won’t be your last. Let me know what you think.

Will follow up this evening, Chief! Thanks for the recommendation.

Was very pleased with the 1858 reserve!

like

How do you like the 1858 reserve vs the Napa Vs the Paso? I haven’t had the reserve. I love the Paso at the $35 price point. The Napa version is excellent though.

like

The Napa is much better but it’s also double the price. It’s hard to beat the Paso for $35. Let us know your thoughts if you ever try it!

like

Sweet collection. Love Far Niente cab! I am visiting Paradigm for the first time end of Aug, excited for that trip.

Thanks!!

This one around $20-$25

How’s the Orion Swift Cab? Haven’t had that one yet.

Nice! You don't collect Italian or French reds?! They age pretty well?!

My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. Anticipating her wants and needs and then adjusting my behavior to meet them. Which she appreciates but it’s frustrating 29M 27F

Big fan of this one. Not super bold. More velvety. Subtle leathery taste, hints of vanilla! I picked up a half case for 120, or $20 a bottle! I may actually buy more. 8/10 for price and taste. Very elegant.

Any recommendations on getting into wine? I love other specialty beverages (3rd wave coffee, craft beer), but struggle to “figure out” wine.

The ability to get involved with local beer and coffee producers has been a huge factor for me, so I’m guessing the comparative lack of local wine producers has contributed to me struggling to understand more of the process, culture, tasting notes, etc.
