Absolutely, we have an anonymous reporting system in place for any concerns, including gender bias. It's crucial for us to foster a safe and inclusive workplace. We take all reports seriously and investigate them thoroughly. I'm glad you're working with your HR director to address this recent incident. Prevention is key.
What would HR do with this information? Agree, there are anonymous hotlines available for reporting but solicitations for this information seems like a significant risk to address all of this feedback. In my experience the firm will protect the firm, which results in poor behaviors continuing to be perpetuated and never addressed as the firm will deny all for purposes of potential litigation. HR these days is unfortunately just an extension of legal.
I am fascinated by this and wish my company did such. I’m going to take the idea to some folks and see what I can get established. I know from experience and differing conversations they’ll hesitate on being honest with fear of getting punished for their perspective.
There are anonymous hotline but at the end of the day, they are rarely being actioned only taking notes.
