In your experience, how helpful has a CFP been? Any CFP recommendations in the city?

Hello, want to know if my salary of 115k is reasonable for my position? Background: 26 years old, 3 years industry experience, SIE, Series 7 & 66, AIF, and over half way through my CFP. I am part of a team around 500M AUM and in next few months I will have officially been with my RIA firm for 2 years.

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Is it worth to get an MBA? I have my CFP already and see I can get the degree online at Murray State by completing 8 total courses. Is it even worth it? other university’s that give CFP credit?

Not a CFP so I’m not truly in the know. That said, if I’m reading this article right, 10/2019 to maintain your CFP, you will have to drop your 7 license if you are dually registered?
