“Might be hard to push above that” sounds like they’ll pay for it if they think it’s worth it. So be worth it, kill the interviews
Agree with D1. If they don’t want to budge on base. Try sign on bonus or request a guaranteed year end payout if you perform satisfactory. There is room there, but sometimes it requires creativity
At a previous employer, I was able to negotiate 💯 paid benefits to compensate for a salary that was lower than my request. Then again, that was at a small start-up but it certainly helped
(Not a consulting role, this is for an industry position)
Demonstrate you're value. And dont ask for an amount. Say something along the lines, knowing what you now know about me and my fit with you, you can go ahead and provide something you think is fair.. then you can negotiate... bottom line, if they don't move up - they dont think you're worth it. Gotta show them you are!
