Check with your HR Team regarding the “Employee Assistance Program.” Every employer has one these days, and it sounds exactly like what you are looking for.

Also worth noting that EAP providers also provide resources to assist leaders and peers with subtly steering colleagues to EAP for assistance. In my experience, one of the biggest challenges with getting people to engage with the benefit is the stigma associated with asking for help. Folks still feel like it is a sign of weakness, but in reality it is incredibly courageous to say “I need help.”

Running the Berlin marathon on 9/25. After spending some time in Berlin, I want to travel to another city, not necessarily in Germany. I was thinking Prague or Paris. I will be traveling from NYC. Any recommendations on cities? Keep in mind, I prefer something with decent flights back to NYC and places where I don’t need a ton of time doing excursions and day trips on buses. Just looking for an interesting place to spend an additional 4-5 days after running the marathon.

Not sure how to react properly to a creep at gym, this guy hit on my four years ago (asking for nude) so I blocked him. I stopped going to gym for 3 years bc herniated disk and Covid, and just started to go back, every time he is there, he made sure to go across my back and front at least 10 times during the time I was there, and drag the bike all the way to the back. It’s only me in the stations so I feel like he was checking me out. Not sure how to react without being called over sensitive

Job offer extended but now some red flags… I was extended an offer today with a pay raise and great benefits. It’s in a field that interests me more but, now some red flags have come up. They voided my offer after asking for time off way in advance in December of this year & the pay that was discussed on the phone is different from my offer letter. I asked the recruiter to clarify and she said I must’ve not heard her correctly on the phone. I’m not having second thoughts… I was excited.

I sent an email asking for feedback on a proposal and SOW only to get this response from a male peer. “I assume you have a good understanding of the basic guidelines such that you can avoid being generic and bringing up common use cases.” Since I designed the approach, drafted the proposal and SOW, I would think it’s a pretty safe assumption. 🤣

Hey everyone,

A recruiter from
Google agreed to have a call with me tomorrow. I was looking to apply for the APMM position. Even though this recruiter is not specifically involved in hiring APMMs, I think he could help me out.

I am new to this and not 100% sure how to proceed on the call.

Do you have any suggestions for:
Are there any specific questions that I should ask?
Is there anything that I can show to make a good impression?

Any other advice is appreciated 🙏🏻

Hi! I just received a job offer that includes a sign on bonus to cover the cost of a certification that I’m getting (study program and exam fees). My offer letter states that the appropriate withholding and tax will apply. I’m not sure what that means - does anyone know if this amount should be tax free because of its purpose? It’s not a bonus or anything. I want to make sure I have a general idea before I ask HR about it.
