Interview tips for a fund management company- entry level role? (Other than researching about the company)

What’s the best way to apply for another job internally? I have a good relationship with my manager. Should I let her know I’m thinking of applying to jobs internally or apply first and then let her know? I’m up for promotion so I’m not sure if letting her know ahead of time might take me off the promotion track.

Anyone finished the interview with Kellogg Round 2? Will the decisions be released earlier for 1Y program?
