Reach out, no bridge burned. The worst scenario would be that they hired someone else?
Sue your company for retaliation .
Surely you know how to spins this: I kept thinking that I liked you guys better, the new company wasn’t my speed....
Huh?
100%. You took the opportunity that was there, and it doesn’t sound like there were any hard feelings with Job 1 so don’t think they would fault you for that.
Just don’t openly badmouth your previous employer during the interview or you risk sounding like nothing more than a jilted, bitter ex.
Instead, you can indirectly speak to the things that were *not* working for you at Job 2 by stressing all the things are important to you (and that you’d find in Job 1 presumably) like opportunities for growth, a fun and respectful work environment, high team morale, etc.
...to the first job I interviewed at seeing if they’re still looking? I feel ashamed since it’s only been like 4 months.
Reach out! Worst they can say is no.
Hey OP, jr here — I’m wondering if you can help me understand what constitutes verbal abuse in the workplace? It sounds like you dealt with it twice, and as someone in my first job, I’m not sure what’s “normal” vs “abusive” (seems like it should be a no brainer, and yet..!)
DM me. I’d rather not share on here.
