Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

No. They probably just didn’t want to extend an offer to you and they were trying to be as nice as possible about it.

There is no freeze. It’s just what the recruiter told you. We are finalizing the headcount across service lines and the projected revenue targets for this year. We expect some level of attrition after we updated release salaries and bonuses in a couple of weeks and we will know how many more people we can bring on and at what levels. We have only done a “freeze” during the early part of the pandemic.
FYI you can’t self clear here regardless of level or service line. So be careful if you have FAANG in portfolio for example!

Took me about 4 weeks after interviewing to get an EY-P offer (July 4 shutdown was in the middle of it though)

No freeze, definitely slowed though. My sector has an internal directive of only hiring “all stars” on-shore. It’s simple logic, slowed pipeline = higher bench = slower hiring
