Interviewing for a client side role that would be a step down in title and responsibility (recent Manager -> Associate) but a jump in pay. Is this a career growth mistake? Should I try to stick it out in agency life a bit longer?

In my offer letter, nothing is mentioned about variable pay, but the recruiter had mentioned to me about 0-12% variable. Am I missing anything. Do they have any variable component in the salary or not.

Hi All - I’m at a firm that has some infrequent in-house training but not enough to help me develop skills to eventually become a trial lawyer. I know cases rarely make it to trial anymore, but I’d like to develop my skills as much as possible to position myself well when they do. I accepted a job offer in April to start a few months from now, post clerkship. All conflicts/background check went smoothly etc. Since accepting my offer, the firm has increased their 1st year pay across the board to be higher than my offer was (which was, at the time, what 2nd yeas got). When should I reach out to the recruitment attorney leading up to my start date? Or should I? (Haven't spoken since May) Should I bring up the salary or just assume its higher?

Either that or I will join another company as java developer.
Which of the two has better scope in the future, java development or Salesforce?

Recruiters: How to articulate that I am capable of Sourcing for Technical roles coming from a healthcare background (3yrs)? Sourcing is a transferable skill. It takes passion, curiosity, and the ability to research to hunt for the right person for the role. I believe it can be done in any industry. However, it seems like companies would take a novice over someone with a different industry experience (after viewing several LI profiles) and I don't want to be boxed into my current industry.

Genuinely curious: How do you justify working in PR knowing that you won’t make $100k+ for 15-20 years? I’m 3 years into my career and I have regrets about choosing this field when I look at my financial timeline.

I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid.
