Interviewing for a PI firm in South Florida for a litigation position. Been 7 years since I’ve interviewed. To make sure I cover my bases, what should I know before accepting a job offer?

Does Amazon has coding round for every engineering job?
For example for embedded software engineer role am I expect to code tree or graph problems especially if I belong to electronics domain?Or will they ask from traditional embedded domain only like SPI,I2C,UARY,RTOS,C etc

Can anybody guide what it takes to be part of maang cybersecurity (5g telecom/It) domain..I have this skills but don't know the selection process. Every where I find software/coding stacks requirements which I don't have.

Starting a new position in a few weeks and have an opportunity to speak with my future boss before starting. Is there anything I should ask before starting that wouldn’t already have been covered in the interview? When is it appropriate to follow up after an interview for a lateral position? Had a screener call 2 weeks ago and then an interview with the partner + senior associate last Thursday where it was mentioned that they would “likely” want me to meet more people. I just got my client divorced from a truly horrible person who abused her and her children and she got everything she wanted and the kids are doing great and only one hasn't been successfully discharged from therapy and I'm just so proud of her and feel so lucky that I got to do a little to help her along the way

When my job is to handle all the corporations issues does it ever get hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Like that this business will survive? It will get its next round of funding? This litigation won’t wipe us out… something’s I just become very pessimistic about the future of the company.

How much support staff is reasonable to expect? Plaintiff PI, med mal/aviation and we’ve lost 2/4 “paralegals” in the last month. Lack of support staff really beginning to feel like it will limit my ability to handle the usual caseload. Was on an island before, and only going to get worse…

I give my cell phone to all clients routinely. However, there are always 1 to 2 clients who abuse this and it seems as soon as their cases are over I find a new one and it is making me rethink. I hate to do this because 98% do not abuse it and I like being connected to my people. Thoughts??

Plaintiffs PI attorneys, how many cases on average are you assigned to at any given time?

In an auto accident trial, can you inform the jury in any way that the at-fault driver had insurance? I have a hard time believing a jury would award 7-figure damages if they thought the little old lady defendant had to personally pay. I’m just starting to do PI on the side by myself at my firm, so this is probably a very dumb and obvious question.

What's your preference for plaintiff's side? Steady pay at approximately $120k with no bonuses, or a base salary of $70k plus a cut of what you close over a minimum threashold? Midwest-ish market. In both situations, you get a cut of what you bring in.

What does compensation look like for a second year associate at a personal injury law firm? Please comment if you practice in Los Angeles.

As a former Corporate Counsel, now mostly solo practitioner in Federal Court specialty practice is a mixture of Bankruptcy, Immigration, Business Transactions and Employment law.

4th year at a mid size PI firm. Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting. The offer from the large firm is for a pre-suit position, base salary of $100K - is this salary pretty standard for this kind of position?

What’s a good LA or NY business litigation firm and salary to expect? I’m a 2yr with quite frankly a lot of experience across civ rights, PI, excessive force, wrongful death, employment defense, K dispute, corp. structure dispute, professional licensure. Write every kind of brief, appeals, argue motions, take depos. Am the only associate working directly under partner on all cases. In house or M&A/Real Estate Transactional are likely the end goal but want to get the litigation out of me first.

I’m a 3L applying in NYC for post grad employment. Which plaintiffs PI/Med firms have the best opportunities for a junior? Everything I find, including my past summer job, is a small shop with 3 partners max and a handful of established associates. I would really like plaintiffs side.
