I made it to a third round interview for an operations manager position at JP Morgan Chase. I’m meeting with the director and a couple other members of the team. I was told the third interview is the last and final interview before an offer is extended. Has anyone ever made it to the their final interview and not been offered the job? I know anything is possible but I’m pretty anxious.

What do you think the chances are that OPM has a delayed opening tomorrow?

Got below offer from epiFi for SDET position
Base - 23LPA
15% variable - 3.5LPA
ESOP - Approx 58,000 PA
I know it's too much a lowball for Sr SDET position when entry level roles are getting this much.
Have told them to update the offer per senior band, yet to hear back. I'd mentioned 35LPA as expected base over phone. But got response that they can't increase numbers.

Went through 4 rounds of interviews for a medium size consulting firm and they said they would get back to me within 3 weeks after completing all other interviews. It’s been 2 weeks now, should I email about an update or just wait? Have had a couple second round interviews since then but not sure if I could mention that

Am I crazy for trying to switch firms? I am a second year and I love my firm and the people I work for are terrific. I have 3.5 YOE in Software Engineering, with a recent Masters's in Data Science. I got an offer for an ML Engineer in a freight company, a small company but paying a total of 150K compensation. On the other hand, I have an offer from WALMART for a data scientist position. Walmart has a name that would be helpful for my career. If you work in tech your skills are in demand. We have a choice about where we work. If your employer is more evil than the average corporation that’s on you. Figure out the companies you refuse to work for on ethical grounds before you start looking for a job. It may feel like limiting your opportunities, but most of the time a company doing bad things in the world is going to have an unpleasant internal culture to match.

Does FAANG/other big tech companies do drug testing? I'm thinking of weed mainly. I wouldn't think they would but there seem to be a lot of places that do that I wouldn't have expected. My brother is an engineer and his org does it.
