Is a CAPM worth the trouble? Or should I just wait until I’m qualified enough to get do the PMP?

Nobody cares about either of those anymore unless it’s the PMP for government work.

It’s also Thanksgiving, why are you worried about this today?

The bloke above is wrong and seems to have a chip on his shoulder. Many companies DO care about the PMP and it is a internationally recognized certificate. Get the PMP; Don’t focus on CAMP.

You can never have too much education. Don’t let ignorant (and often time silver spoon) people deter you from your goals.

CAPM is not that great a cert to have. PMP definitely has value - relatively more in government, but outside of it, too. I get what KPMG 1 is saying (PMP certainly won’t change your career), but it is definitely one of the more useful certs to have.

Would love to connect with someone from Google as I'm targeting Product roles. I've over 7 years of experience in growth centric roles including user journey orchestration, CRM (in-app messaging , push notifications), usability research and user acquisition through paid channels. I don't have direct PM experience (haven't held the title formally).

I'd appreciate any success stories or pointers you can offer in regards to this transition.

I am expecting an offer from Oracle Digital, Consulting with about 60% hike (25 LPA fixed + Variable at 5.2 YOE) from current pay package and a role of principal consultant.
A few questions I have regarding this.

1. What are the perks/employee ben there?
2. How is the work life balance?
3. How is the hike and bonus?
4. How is the scope of moving to development centre of Oracle - IDC?

Finally, what do you guys think about the pay package, should I be targetting a higher pay package?

Thank You!
