Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

I’m looking to get out of direct patient care, and would love to find a job where I can work from home (even if that’s something in the future.) I would like some advice with switching careers into healthcare data, healthcare informatics, etc. I’m currently a nuclear medicine technologist with 2 years experience, and a BS.

Looking for advice (& empathy): Started out in advertising, then became a journalist. Moved to the US for grad school, and back to advertising few years ago. We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title.
