Is anyone else hearing more and more complaints from Uber drivers about comp?

My uber driver gave me a code for lyft to get free rides bc I guess they pay their drivers more and he gets $5 every time someone uses the code Frank2145. Very nice guy enjoyed my ride.

One guy complained the whole 30 minute ride home from the airport...after he yelled at me because HE was in the wrong pickup spot at the airport and thought I was too slow in getting there.

Yes! In ATL, it's dirt cheap now...this guy went on a rant

Happened to me yesterday. This guy showed that I myself have a 4.8 rating and how he is helping me by giving me a 5🌟. Pretty obnoxious I would say. We all know uber as a company is cunning.. But it's so convenient.

Yeah lyft gets tips, but that's why I love uber haha no tips

Poll the Class: Flight from HEL to JFK arrives at 4pm. Flight from LGA back to DFW leaves at 6:10. No checked bags. Is that cutting it too close?

I'm gonna end a promotion year at around 70% utilization (mid 60s now) through no fault of my own. How fucked is my raise?

Do we need to do anything special to accept international investors?

Is this forum alive

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

Dilute burnout through the winter with PTO or go all in on exit apps? Curious to hear how others are thinking about job security (in the event of a stronger correction), building traction at a new job (when you won’t meet your leadership team in person for a year), and stagnant comp (at places like Deloitte who aren’t concerned about retention).

Do most people use the blur on zoom or does it just make it more obvious your background is atrocious?

How does PwCs FTN work? What is the hourly rate in NY?

Anyone know anything about IP law or patent attorney roles. Would love to have a chat. TIA

Have a first round interview for associate position. What kind of case questions do they ask? Any study material that is useful? Would appreciate any tips!

Currently a contractor looking to eventually get an FTE position. Suggestions on a good way to go about this? Don't have a lot of analysis experience but have lots of excel knowledge

I changed school districts this year (for slightly better pay) and now I regret it. What should I do? Will my old school take me back?

How long does it take you to get ready in the AM? Include your gender. I'll start...Female and about 45 minutes.

Should I tell HR / My manager that I have PTSD? Sometimes I need to work from home / not see people and I’m worried I look like someone who hates coming into the office... flashbacks = hell.

Where to spend points on two day Marriott retreat in Phoenix metro area? Any good suggestions?

Before you ask... Yes, I am fully vaccinated. TIA!

✈️ Flight landed 40 minutes early and Jo traffic at LGA.

Life/Career question. 11 years out of law school. Small (2 atty) firm focused on non-portable local practice (residential RE, wills/probate) in CT. Girlfriend is a final year resident and it's almost certain that her fellowship will take her/us out of state, likely CA.
Am I screwed if I move to another state with such CT-specific experience, and no directly portable skills 11 years out? Not the right experience for corporate/govt.
Has anyone made a change like this?

What’s the career prospect for investor relations? Currently doing sales working for a mid-size institutional AM and may get an opp to jump to a small alternative shop as an IR. Firm is small so will work directly with the chief strategy and ops officer. Is it a good career path in general? Thinking to go to grad school in a year or two. 3 YOE
