Just more hoops to jump through, which is what we’re paid to do. As an industry we’re already well positioned to pivot as needed. Work will be a bit hamstrung, but we’ll move on. If companies pull back spend to see how it plays out, that will make for a rough(er) couple of months. But at the end of the day pharma companies need to advertise to recoup their r&d spend. My question - is this just another bullying attempt from Trump to force these companies to donate to his war chest, thereby making this all magically go away? Executive orders are a dime a dozen, he can just choose not to enforce it if the price is right.
It's also a shot across the bow to television networks.
IMO, this just makes it harder for AI to take over the industry

Saw a post from a regulatory firm to LinkedIn today. The new Untitled and Warning Letters have already started to go out, they're not coming from OPDP, and some appear to be both written by AI and the result of an incorrect evaluation by AI.
Just an embarrassment all around, and likely something that peters out after the initial wave makes Bobby Brainworm even more of a laughingstock liability. If I'm feeling optimistic, this will help grow the rift between him and his orange master.

EOs need to be ratified long term. They also cut funding by 4% for the FDA on an already backed up and reduced workforce and an OPDP department that’s got a significant backlog. A lot of fluffy rage in the EO, poor details, some specific targets, and zero way of explain the “how”

Nope. Donold is criminally insane and RFK Jr is an addict with a brainworm. Neither have any science background and they have packed the CDC and FDA with conspiracy theorists without science backgrounds.
They both have said they want to eliminate DTC advertising and they are putting out regular false narratives about everything from vaccine safety to Tylenol and circumsicions causing autism. So it would be wise to try to be primarily working in HCP, should they manage to eliminate DTC ads.
