Is it a good move to come to Kolkata? I mean I left my Big 4 job at Bangalore and came here. Wasn't extremely happy in Bangalore either. Ever since 2020, have been working from home in Kolkata and actually started liking the city. But now that I am telling folks that I moved back to Kolkata, everyone is saying it's a rotten city. People are terrible and mean. I am extremely scared man :( Is it true? Because my experience with Bengalis here also has been nice.

Does anyone have a similar experience? I interviewed with recruiters from two of "Big 4". Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.
