Is it better to take out a personal loan for credit card debt vs a debt consolidation? I decided to do a personal loan with a bank I already have a mortgage with. I did 16% for three years vs having multiple credit cards with 25% interest. The loan covers two of my four credit cards. But a friend said I could’ve gotten a better deal with debt consolidation bc they have relationships with credit card companies.

No - I went through this. my husband and I had combined 60k in cc debt when we got together in 2018. We paid off in two years.

Open promotional credit cards with a 0% Apr and roll your balance. Look for ones that don’t have a fee and will give you at least a year of 0% interest. Then change your habits, stop using credit cards, and make it your primary goal to pay off the debt before the interest rate hits. You got this!

You should! That’s awesome OP.

I have looked into debt consolidation it’s not about their relationship per se, you will pay less money but they close your cards and your credit will drop in the short term

Hello - thinking of starting a small side coaching practice. Could use a bit of help because I've never thought about opening a side hustle but times are tough with two kids in college.

1. What is the best approach to collecting your fee? Each session? Pay the package cost upfront,? Other, and if so, what is it?
2. How do you collect it? Venmo? Credit card?
3. Do you have to register your business?

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?
