I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC
CRO companies as an exit? Yes or no?

Not dumb at all. Even if the title progression maps accurately, that means that you get more money for less responsibility and have a higher pay trajectory.
Title doesn't pay the bills, money does. While it could make for a tougher exit later if you want a more senior role, there is a general recognition that roles titles aren't equal across firms so you may be able to work around that as well.
Nope. As someone that is in HR and does compensation, titles are dumb and not indicative of skills and experience. And personally, I was an Associate director making 145k and am now a senior manager making 220k and it was an awesome move!
As long as you can continue to develop your skills and show a career progression (assuming you want to do that) that is all that is important.
Is there a reason why you can’t go for the same level at the new place? I’m asking because I’ve interviewed for a role below me received an offer and told them I would only be interested if they gave me the same title. The recruiter pushed back and then went back to the hiring managers who came back to say they believe I would be successful at the level I wanted.
This is a great thought and I actually asked about it. The title I have at my current gig doesn’t exist at this company. The next level up is Senior Product Analyst. My skill set overlaps but isn’t an exact match so that was not an option

Nope. Optimise for next 2-3 years’ total comp. Your current comp can be the best bargaining chip in your next move, without the need for competing offers.
