Is it fairly smooth to transition to CDI without inpatient coding experience? I have my RHIA but have been apprehensive to get into CDI. I feel like I have transferable skills from my background in profee coding, coding educator and having payor side experience. Is it necessary to get IP coding experience or just jump ship for the challenge?

I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. Things are apparently going to get better after a client will be leaving, I’ll get to work on different brands but I am feeling pretty burnt out from the agency I’m at. Will new clients help?
