Is it just me or is almost everything you see in job availability for management level positions? I have been actively looking for work since I was laid off in January.

I am desperate to find work. I have over 30 years experience and have been cross-trained in almost every position imaginable. However, everything seems to be management level positions or requires a Bachelor's or Master degree.

Is it just me?

Has anyone gotten feedback on attention to detail? They say sometimes show if sometimes no.
Am I a POS who is incompetent? Tbh I think it’s cuz I’m working on projects that aren’t in my skill set since my last role was eliminated… so the role I’m doing is them squeezing a square into circle, and I know it. Yes, I’m applying elsewhere.

Interview for a Data Analytics consultant role and have been told there will be white-boarding exercises. How would you prepare for this? I’m guessing it will mostly be SQL but don’t want to assume.

I am a career changer on mo 4 of a 6 mo sourcer/researcher contract that I’m not sure will be renewed due to team re-organizing. I have 5 YOE basically in an HR generalist role at a company that didn’t have an official HR function, building systems from the ground up. I also have my SHRM-CP. I am looking for a perm, remote HR generalist or program manager position and getting no traction despite a well-reviewed resume. What do I do? Should I go to grad school?

What can I do outside the office to boost my resume and be a substantially more attractive candidate for top consulting firms in ~12 months time. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.

I accepted an offer from Cognizant for a consultant position a little less than a month ago. My joining date is 5th September and I would need visa sponsorship. on the way to an interview this morning eating a sandwich. I walked past a homeless man who had a stray cat perched on his lap. He asked for a bite of sandwich to feed them both as they hadn’t eaten in days. I gave the whole sandwich over and headed off to the interview.
