It’s the time that we are in. I applied for a job in March and just went on the interview this week. Also, all companies are different and have different timelines.
Correct I’m in NYC. I’m just now getting interviews. Two today & one second one next week, My phones definitely ringing even with recruiters letting me know I’m submitted. Only one is remote though the others are hybrid. I’m not sure if changing a race matters. Remote takes longer that I know.
There’s a lot of layoffs looming and hiring freezes happening across many industries. Hiring has slowed across the board. Couple that with more companies wanting people to return to office and finding a hybrid or fully remote role is an extremely challenging task for anyone.
Yes tbh I’m only a top pick to be considered because I’m ok with hybrid & the company is about a 20 minute walk away from my home. The other role is remote because it’s only part-time! 100 percent remote jobs receive easily double the amount of resumes. That CoverLetter can’t be basic. The same with my old coworker who was ok with being hybrid.
Have you tried to lean into your network?
Okay well I’m feeling a lot better that I’m not alone.

What type of position are you looking for? Network and do informational interviews so you can learn about the companies and get your name out there. Applying blindly isn’t a good strategy since it takes more effort.
Also be open to different types of remote roles. As long as it’s in the salary range you are targeting. Don’t forget freelance roles as well. Good luck 🍀
