They might see through your bs but no they can’t check. Theoretically, we are all up for promotions to Director
If you were to actually make Director with one year experience why would you leave? At that pace you would be Partner in 2-3? Sounds like hubris to me
Most people know how long people spend at each career level.
Even if you were going to get promoted to director after 1 or 2 years...most people would expect ot to take 3-5 years and would immediately think you are full of shit.
From there you chances of getting hired would nose dive.
Now if it were true...you would spend a lot of time talking about BD, client mgmt, people mgmt, etc during your interview.
Its not hard to figure put who is the real deal and who is full of it during those discussions
I’m confused. Do you not have time at each level/title on your resume?
They verify what your title was leaving but can’t prove anything else.
I think that is what you’re asking correct?
My question was can or will they check with my firm that I got promoted last year?
Does this mean you’re planning to lie on the resume about when you became Manager?
HR may believe you but I sure wouldn’t and they tell the interview team these things.
Also director means different things at different place, so, take that as it is.
So of course they can’t check if you are up for promotion. Honestly it’s your choice but you would be straight up lying and as others said the interviewers can see through it.
Are you asking if you will get caught or if what you are doing is okay?
I mean if you can convince them that you are a year away from Director. I’d say you deserve the gig. Just know that the expectations for you when you land may be too much for you
