Yes. Very realistic. If you hustle, originate and you’re willing to try cases.
I did defense work for 5 years then went PI and have made $250k $330k and $450k for the three years being there (respectively). All about negotiating a percentage of the cases you resolve. (I will say, I don’t do auto, and I don’t do many slip and falls, mainly general liability and negligent security). I feel like auto is more consistent income, but less overall.
Percentages are pre-suit and litigation, however,
My cases hardly ever resolve pre-suit, since I don’t do auto.
Im making $225-250k, firm does $40-45M in settlements per year
I have so many questions. How many attorneys work there? Do you get bonuses? That just seems like a really low salary given how much you said the firm brings in but I could be wrong.
Yes, I should hit 330k my first year at a PI firm. I have 13 years of litigation experience on the other side. I work reasonable hours. Key is to find a solid firm with a strong commission package
What’s your percentage and/or base with that, to reach that amount ?
Yes. I’m a touch under 400k doing plaintiff side work.
Salary & performance-based bonus (though blackbox).
Salary was 280 last year.
Yes. But you have to work very hard.
All it takes is one big case that you bring in
I mean, it depends where and what type of firm. But yes. I made 300 my last year as an associate. Mcol. Not a big advertising firm
Very reputable plaintiff firm but small only like 6 lawyers and expanding
Yes, you just need to know what you’re doing, work hard and negotiate a percentage of the cases you resolve.
Very.
Which firms are you guys making this kind of money? Or are you working solo/own your own firm?
Base: $70,000
Pre-Litigation: 7%
Litigation: 14%
Self-Origination: 40%
Rising Star
Interested. I do 99800 entering my third year.
Which locality?
It depends on the files. And the clients prefer reputable counsel over the run of the mill chump.
Law has always been about marketing and sales.
