Is it too much to ask for a graphic design role that doesn't require videography? After my past role working in-house as the lead for photo/video/design, I'm looking for a junior-mid level role where I can really work on specializing- seems like these don't exist anymore. I wanted to be a graphic designer when I grew up, now it seems like generating short form video content is a requirement for that.

Because of this sub, every time I see a dog now, I subconsciously think the owner is going to ask me for a referral.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. In a way, i do the job so well that i get asked to do more AD projs and guide more projs — but then: wtf does my CD do? They mostly just 👍🏻what i direct n approve
