I wouldn’t say we “keep to it” but we strive to have good balance. Most of my weeks are 45-50.
I don’t leave early unless I have a personal need
I’m a senior manager coming up on 9 years at Pro and can say 95% of my career has been 40-45 hour weeks. Nearly all billable. In addition I get nearly 30 days of vacation that i use every year without any questions and get 10 weeks of paternity leave. Downsides to pro is work and pay. Work isn’t all that interesting and can do a lot of audit. Pay is less than big4 but may be somewhat comparable when you break it down by per hour basis.
Yes
I’m in Technology Consulting at Protiviti and bill on average 45 hours a week. Our office leader actually told us that our salary is based on us working 45 hours a week which caught me off guard when I first heard it.
I’ve had to work on the weekends for one client. It’s definitely not a regular thing!
What Certifications do you need to progress to manager+? Is the cia enough?
First year as a senior at Protiviti and I’ve only ever worked over 50 hours during busy season which for me was December to mid February. When I was with B4 our busy season started in July to end of February and the money was dumb low.
You don’t need a very but it is highly recommended. Ping me if you need to be referred.
