Is it typically difficult for someone who has been working as an independent contractor for years to get hired by an employer again? I worked for years in food service, held management positions, then worked for years as a janitor, and then I did side gigs(Doordash, Instacart, etc), and eventually residential cleaning independently. I thought I would be able to get hired as a hotel housekeeper, or go back to food service, but I can't get hired anywhere, it seems.
