Is it worth having a large insurance premium for tax benefits in Canada?

Hi! Pretty new to this concept, and really early within my career (only 3 months in). Currently on my company’s 401k plan, contributing well beyond the minimum to receive a match, and maxing the amount I can put in right now (25%). Dabbled a bit in options and stocks in general. Any advice, guides, or starting places you would give someone in my shoes? Thank you in advance!

Is it good to get stocks as part of CTC which has 4 years vesting period?

CTC looks high due to this stocks but effectively i would not be getting it for the 4 years. Also the yearly hike includes this stock component.

CTC had fixed, variable and stock part. Variable and stock is almost 30% of total ctc.

I'm 1 year out of college and recently inherited $400k and have another $120k saved up from internships and work.

I know the standard thing to do is DCA into an index fund/ETF but is there anything else I should be doing to invest my money and hedge against inflation. I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
