Might burn some bridges but it could be worth it long term. Frankly, I think people overemphasize the potential negatives of reneging
Unfortunately, I have had to renege on a few offers in the past when circumstances unexpectedly changed
100% agree with “people overemphasize the potential negatives of reneging”

It's better to renege an offer than to quit a month in my opinion. I have done it before and the company just said best of luck, no hard feelings. You should do whatever is in your best interest.

You can renege, but don’t expect call backs when you apply there down the road. Do what is best for you, both companies will survive and forget about you in a week either way.
Think of Ben Wyatt and that poor Pawnee accounting firm
I reneged on an offer 2 years ago to come back to EY. It’s worked out great for me.
Go to Grand Cayman and don’t think twice. If you’re comfortable be honest and say that job security is a big factor given the current economic climate. There’s nothing wrong with doing what’s in your best interests. You can keep the lines of communication open for future opportunities and I think it’s understandable, especially if you got a great counter.
It’s worth it to stay in big4!
Why do you want to come back?
If you care about the comp, don't assume before making your decision
Are you going to be able to keep your visa?
I am going to work at the Cayman Islands, so it will be the same visa situation
Yo we’re better than the banana crew 🤣
It is your life. You should do what is best for you. If EY is a better fit then stick with EY.
