Pros: above market pay, lots of SEC clients if you want that experience, gave out (modest) raises and bonuses this year
Cons: benefits are bad, CEO has a fixation on making employees come into the office during a pandemic

It's public accounting, but I definitely have had some unique opportunities here, including working on an IPO

Lol was waiting for a comment like this.
Make sure you get hired the first time you apply. I applied for an internship interviewed and was rejected because not enough experience first semester of grad school. I tried to apply once I had my MSA and it won’t let me apply again because my application was unsuccessful the first time.
Yes fortunately they gave me an offer. They supposedly pay a bit more than what an entry level Assurance Associate gets offered at any of the big4

Not great but if that's your only option, oh well. No one would choose there over big 4 or mid tier though.
Of course there’s ups and downs, it’s PA not Disneyland. I’m just seeing that there’s more opportunity to work with the partner than just with a manager and staff. It’s a good change in environment from B4, I certainly don’t expect work to be any easier but I expect not to be treated like just a number since it’s mid-tier. The pay bump is super generous since I am coming from B4, absolutely.
